What's inside?

Prepare, Plan, Perform … oh don’t forget practice. Those are the four ""P""s you need when it comes to Db2 z/OS Recovery. When was the last time you had to do a recover of your Db2 data? Or should I ask when was the last time you thought about recovery in your day-to-day Db2 activity. The reasons to recovery have changed over the last 30 years. Many times, it was self-inflicted, hardware or software reasons – there are new recovery motives out there.

Many of us think Db2 data is covered along with our mainframe systems, mirrored DASD to multiple remote sites. Bad data replicated two or three times, is still bad data. A little work now can save many sleepless days, or should I say weeks when something goes very wrong.

This presentation will review potential ways to prepare, plan, and practice Db2 Recovery with BMC.
