With the introduction of IAM/PLEX version 11, this same sharing of data became a reality for IAM files using IAM/PLEX.  IAM is a transparent alternative to the VSAM file structure, supporting the conversion of VSAM files from home-grown applications, as well as VSAM files used by vendor applications such as Vision Plus and Hogan.
